End of Year Review 2013

9 Abums 2013

Hello again,

This is now my 4th year making this list.  Sometimes I do it for fun and sometimes its therapy.  I think that this year it is a little bit of both. I don’t listen to everything so if there is something worth listening to that I didn’t list, let me know. I hope this list is worth looking through and listening to.

Your friend and colleague,

Bojan Jovanovic

Vampire Weekend – Modern Vampires of the City

My #1 album of the year comes from NYC-based Vampire Weekend. This is their third album, Modern Vampires of the City. It is their most complete, mature, and well-rounded album.  It has the hodge-podge nature of their self-titled debut album coupled with a more mature sound that defined parts of their sophomore album, Contra.  Vampire Weekend made my favorite album of the year where lots of great music came out, but nothing stood out overwhelmingly above the rest (see: Kendrick Lamar – GKMC).  I think that I am behind on listening to stuff this year so please tell me what you think.  Also, Yeezus sucked. Good day.
